1. Overview
This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how subscriptions to Rocket are billed, how to cancel, and when refunds are and are not available. It forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
By starting a free trial or purchasing a subscription, you confirm that you have read and accepted this policy.
2. Free Trial
Rocket offers a 7-day free trial. The trial is the opportunity to evaluate whether Rocket is right for you.
- You will not be charged during the trial period.
- You may cancel at any time before the trial ends and you will not be charged.
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically and the subscription fee is charged to your nominated payment method.
- The price, billing date, and subscription term are disclosed to you before you provide payment details.
We recommend using the trial period fully. It exists so that you can make an informed decision before any payment is taken.
3. Subscription Billing
- Founding memberships are billed annually in advance at the price displayed at the time of purchase.
- Founding member pricing is locked for the life of your continuous subscription and will not increase, provided the subscription remains active.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- We will notify you before your subscription renews.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time.
- Cancel through Settings, through the Manage Subscription link in your confirmation email, or by contacting admin@joinrocket.app.
- Cancellation stops future billing. It takes effect at the end of your current paid term.
- You retain full access to Rocket until the end of the term you have already paid for.
Cancelling does not, by itself, entitle you to a refund of the current term. See section 5.
5. Refunds - change of mind
We do not offer refunds for change of mind.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- You decided you no longer want to use Rocket.
- You did not use the app, or used it less than you expected to.
- You forgot to cancel before your free trial ended.
- You forgot to cancel before your subscription renewed.
- Your circumstances changed - including injury, illness, a change in training goals, or withdrawal from a race.
- You found the product elsewhere at a different price.
Because we provide a 7-day free trial and disclose all pricing and billing terms before payment, you have a full and fair opportunity to evaluate Rocket before you are charged. Partial refunds for unused portions of a subscription term are not provided.
6. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If Rocket has a major failure, you are entitled to:
- Cancel your subscription and obtain a refund for the unused portion, or
- Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
If the failure is not major, you are entitled to have the problem fixed within a reasonable time. If it is not fixed within a reasonable time, you may cancel and receive a refund for the unused portion.
A major failure means, for example, that Rocket is substantially unfit for its ordinary purpose and cannot easily be made fit within a reasonable time.
7. When we will provide a refund
We will provide a refund in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate or incorrect charges - you were charged more than once, or charged an incorrect amount.
- Unauthorised transactions - the payment was not authorised by the account holder.
- Failure to deliver - a technical fault on our side prevents you from accessing Rocket for a sustained period and we are unable to resolve it within a reasonable time.
- Where required by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.
If you believe one of these applies, contact admin@joinrocket.app with your account email and the date of the charge. We will respond within 5 business days.
8. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play
If you purchased your subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that purchase is governed by the relevant store's terms, and refunds are handled by Apple or Google - not by us.
- Apple: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google Play: request a refund through the Google Play Store or at play.google.com
We are unable to process refunds for purchases made through these platforms, and we are unable to prevent Apple or Google from issuing a refund at their discretion.
9. European Economic Area and United Kingdom users
If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, you ordinarily have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts.
By starting your subscription and accessing Rocket immediately, you expressly request immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully supplied. Where the right of withdrawal still applies, you may exercise it by contacting admin@joinrocket.app within 14 days of purchase.
10. Price changes
Founding member pricing is locked for the life of your continuous subscription. If we change our pricing for other plans, we will give you reasonable notice before any change takes effect on your subscription, and you may cancel before the change applies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email, in-app notification, and by posting the updated policy at joinrocket.app. The policy that applies to your purchase is the one in effect at the time you made it.
